STONEGARD Signs With INDIE RECORDINGS

July 2, 2008

Indie Recordings has announced the signing of Norwegian metallers STONEGARD. A remixed version of the band's second album, "From Dusk Till Doom", will be made available on September 1.

Commented the band in a statement: "It's great to finally get signed to Indie Recordings. We have been looking for a way to work together with this label for quite a while now. Their long experience in exporting Norwegian bands is no doubt what we need at this point in our career. Not to mention they are good friends of ours, and we couldn't be happier with the cooperation."

STONEGARD spent their first years in Scandinavia touring heavily and opening for acts like BLACK SABBATH, KORN, SLIPKNOT, MOTÖRHEAD and SYSTEM OF A DOWN.

The group's 2005 debut, "Arrows", became a success with sales of more than 7,000 in Scandinavia alone.

For the European release of "From Dusk Till Doom", STONEGARD has upgraded the album with a new mix, re-recorded guitars and bass and brought in no other than Ted Jensen (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD) for the mastering.

The CD was produced and recorded by Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH),and was mixed by Stamos Koliousis and Vangelis Labrakis (MENCEA, SUPERPSYCHICS). The album also includes a bonus CD containing previously unreleased material (demo tapes, videoclips etc.)

Come November, STONEGARD will embark on a monster tour, dubbed Vertebrae Tour '08, as special guests to ENSLAVED.
